Large ambitions. Tiny world view.
I'm reading various blogs I love to read when I should be paying attention in lecture. Oh well.
I read "a day in the life" entry from a wonderful friend who's living in Seoul, Korea right now. (Hi again, Glo!) I read a couple of "the adventures of..." entries written by a friend who is traveling through Africa, mainly Kenya, right now. I read a blog written by a lovely woman I ran into online years back who is an American ex-pat in Ireland, raising her daughter (and soon to be second) with her Irish partner. Another woman, a geologist, who I ran into online a year or two ago who is doing amazing research, has so many opportunities in front of her in the field.
All of these women seem to be doing well and live extraordinary lives, and I am genuinely so happy for them
It does make me wonder when I lost my own sense of adventure and possibility.
I did walk about 8.5 miles yesterday. It was so beautiful here, and it rocked.

So I was videochatting with someone awesome the other night, (::pokepokegloriacoughpoke::) and she mentioned that I never really update this blog. I explained that there were reasons for this, and I would explain them later, since I didn't want to take up much of her time since she was meeting a friend for dinner.
The truth is that I don't like updating when I feel like all I'm doing is bitching to the world, and lately, that is all I feel that I would be doing. Between failing mandatory coursework, having to take the class (which I loathe) again on top of the next class in the series, proceeding to have the class drive me nuts again (and probably failing it again, we'll see), breaking my wrist, being thousands of miles away while my family dotes over my amazing and adorable new nephew (nephew is amazing, being thousands of miles away from him sucks), and for the most part hating the city I live in .... life lately has not been all roses.
So yeah. Sorry for the absence.
