I have this horrible thought that, years down the line, the Lord of the Rings will loose some of its power.
You know how sometimes you watch those shows or movies from your past, or even listen to an album of music, and it's lost some of its potency over time? LotR meant so much to me throughout college that the thought of this happening to my favorite movies is really sad.
Fellowship came out in 2000. Today, on the brink of 2009, it's still holding strong.
So far, so good.

Don't worry. I think as so long as we don't over-saturate ourselves with certain movies, their goodness always remains. Our tastes may change and whatnot, but we'll watch them many years later and feel their power again.
